TRAINING ON PREPARATION OF NATURAL VINEGAR AND CARBONATED BEVERAGES AT PAU

LUDHIANA, OCTOBER 28:



The Department of Microbiology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh, will organise a training course on "Preparation of natural vinegar and non-alcoholic carbonated beverages" for the farmers and the farm women. To be held under the auspices of Directorate of Extension Education, the training programme will take place on November 8-9 at Kairon Kisan Ghar (KKG), PAU.

Divulging details, Dr M.S. Gill, Director of Extension Education, PAU, said that the varsity subject-matter specialists would dwell upon the futuristic aspects of natural vinegar and carbonated beverages with focus on their scope and significance. Apart from giving demonstrations on the preparation of natural vinegar from sugarcane juice and non-alcoholic carbonated beverages from pineapple, the experts would hone the skills of the trainees by familiarizing them with the economics of home made preparations, told Dr Gill. Informing that the registration for the course will take place on November 8 at 9.00 a.m. at the scheduled venue, he told that Dr G.S. Kochhar, Microbiologist and Dr J.S. Bhalla, Professor of Extension Education, will be the technical and course coordinators.
