Dr. Yadwinder Singh, Head, Department of Soil Science, retired upon attaining the age of superannuation. He served PAU in various capacities for a period of over 35 years. This internationally renowned soil scientist has made tremendous contributions in the area of soil health improvement and rational use of natural resources. Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Dr. M.S.Swaminathan and Dr. Manjit Singh Kang, Vice-Chancellor, PAU earlier appreciated Dr. Singh for his contributions and wished him all well in the post-retired life. In a special farewell function held in the Department of Soil Science, Dr Yadwinder Singh was given a warm send-off. Appreciating the humane and scientific qualities that Dr Singh possesses, the faculty members conveyed their best wishes for a happy post-retired life. Dr Yadwinder Singh thanked all those present for the cooperation they gave him all through his professional career.
