Mother Earth Day and birth anniversary of renowned philosopher S. Gurbakash Singh Preetlari was observed in Kulwant Singh Virk Auditorium of Centre for Communication and International Linkages of Punjab Agricultural University. Editor (Punjabi) and President Sahit Academy Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing to the number of students and scientists of university, he said that if proper intention will not be given to injudicious use of natural resources and invasion of western culture, will led to mother earth and mother language in danger. He added that from the regime of Dr. M.S. Randhawa to Dr. Manjit Singh Kang the writers, artists played a vital role for the generation and dissemination of the technology.
During the occasion a docudrama was also screened in which the information to judiciously use natural resources was given in a palatable form. The Coordinator of the event Dr. Anil Sharma informed that with the help of material provided by \'Eco and Agro Resource Management\', the students were awared regarding carbon emission. A poster with a message to \'Save Water Save Punjab\' was also distributed among the students Dr. Narender Pal Singh, Dr. Sarabjit Singh, Dr. Sumedha Bhandari and numbers of scientists were present on the occasion.
