Pushpinder crowned Miss Farewell (PG Dept of Fine Arts, GCW)

The Post Graduate Dept. of Fine Arts Govt. College for Women, Ludhiana organized a Farewell Party for its final year students here today. Principal of the college Mrs. Gurminder Kaur presided over the function. Mrs, Mandeep Kaur Dua, accorded a warm welcome to the chief guest.

The principal Mrs. Gurminder Kaur encouraged the students to work hard and make a mark in the world. She congratulated and gave credit to Mrs. Mandeep and Mr. Parveen for the smooth functioning of the dept and getting good results in the University exams.

The first year students presented an impressive cultural show which included dances, medley, group dance, songs, mimicry etc. The highlight of the show was modeling by the outgoing class. The juniors also gave compliments to the students and teachers by dedicating songs to them.

Pushpinder was crowned Miss Farewell and Suchita and Deepali were adjudged first and second runners up respectively. Ritika was chosen Miss Elegent, Amanpreet was awarded the title of Miss Confident and Pushpinder was declared Miss Well Dressed. The judges of the day were Mrs. Gurvinder Kaur, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Miss Pooja Garg.

Prominent among those present were Vice Principal Mrs. Sudarshan Mehta, Dr. Sarbjot Kaur, Prof. Krishan Singh, Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur, Prof. Kuldeep Singh, Mrs. Varinderjeet Kaur, Miss Manpreet Gandhi and Miss Meenu Ahuja.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Parveen Kumar.
