A training course on "Healthy seedling production in vegetable crops under net-house conditions" was organized at Gujjarwal village under Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC) -Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT) – Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Centre. Honing the knowledge of the trainees, Dr.P.S. Brar, Head, Department of Vegetable Crops, PAU, and Dr.S.K.Jindal, Assistant Vegetable Breeder, dwelt on varieties of tomato and capsicum, identified for cultivation under net-house conditions. A fruitful scientific interaction took place between the experts and the participants and all the queries raised were responded. Dr. Kulbir Singh, Senior Olericulturist, shed light on the importance of nursery raising in plug trays and medium used for growing nursery. Earlier, Dr.Tarsem Lal, Site Coordinator, welcomed the farmers and subject matter specialists. Dr.T.R.Ghai of SRTT proposed the vote of thanks.
