PAU KISAN MELA AT FARIDKOT ON MARCH 10

the first time, PAU is organizing a Kisan Mela at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Faridkot on March 10, informed Dr M.S.Gill, Director of Extension Education. Giving details, he said that Dr Manjit Singh Kang, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will be the chief guest on this occasion and inaugural ceremony for this Kisan Mela will take place at 10.30 a.m. The theme of the mela being 'Raise standard of living through innovative farming,' the fair would familiarize the farmers, farm women and rural youth with the advancements made in the field of agriculture and the latest techniques and technologies developed by PAU experts, with special emphasis on cotton. For the benefit of the farmers, an exhibition will be put up which would enable them to understand the technical know-how of progressive farming, said Dr Gill, while adding that a scientific interactive session will be held where all the queries pertaining to agriculture will be responded by the subject experts.
