Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will hold its fourth Kisan Mela at Bathinda on March 14. The mela will be inaugurated by the chief guest Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, at 10.30 a.m. Dr. Manjit Singh Kang, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will preside over the farmers' fair.
Giving the contours, Dr M.S.Gill, Director of Extension Education, PAU, informed that the technical session will be held at 11.00 a.m. An exhibition showcasing new innovations and latest techniques designed by PAU will equip the participating farmers and farm women with all the technical information about the farming. A scientific interaction will take place between PAU experts and farmers and all the farm queries will be responded. The emphasis will be on the theme of the mela 'Raise standard of living through innovative farming,' added Dr Gill.
