The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday after paying tributes to sitting BJP member Baliram Kashyap, who died in Raipur in the wee hours.
As soon as the House met, Speaker Meira Kumar read out the obituary reference.
The House was adjourned till Friday after members observed silence in the memory of the departed leader.
Kashyap (75), a four-time member of the Lok Sabha from Bastar in Chhattisgarh, had served as minister in the Madhya Pradesh government.
