A deputation of the Association of the Punjab School Education Board

A deputation of the Association of the Punjab School Education Board, Affiliated Schools, Punjab (Regd.) met Hon'ble Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Education Minister, Punjab Government, Chandigarh, under the Presidentship of Sh. Rajinder Sharma, along with N.K. Bangia, chief patron of the association, Sh. I. M. Dutta, Sh. S. S. Bedi, and others representatives from the various distt. of the state and appreciate the step of the govt. to conduct copying free examination. The deputation discussed with the Hon'ble Minister regarding the shifting of controller of the examination in the affiliated school from the Govt. schools and the in the Govt. schools the controller will be from affiliated schools.

On this occasion Mr. Rajinder Sharma said that Association of the PSEB Affiliated schools is fully agreed with the decision of the Govt. to conduct copying free examination by deputing the controllers of the examinations in the affiliated schools, from the Govt. Schools and vice-versa.

Hon'ble Minister said that he is satisfied by the working of the affiliated schools, those are sharing the burden of govt. by providing quality education to the lacs of the students in the state and employment to the large number of educated people. But some govt / affiliated schools controllers along with the staff deputed on their examination centre are involved in copying by collecting a huge amount of money from the students. He further said that Punjab Govt. has imposed duty on the DEO of every distt. to depute the controllers in their distt. according the policy of the Govt. without any political pressure. If there is any sort of copying in any distt. the DEO of the concerned distt. will be responsible for this. The DEO has to depute controllers in the affiliated schools from the Govt. schools and in the Govt. schools the controller will be from affiliated schools. The question papers are in the custody of both controller of the examination and the head of the institution.

All the members assured the Hon'ble Minister to conduct the copying free examination. They said that they will join hands with the Govt & Punjab Board to eradicate the stigma of copying in the examination. The meeting ended in a cordial atmosphere. Pawan Mittal from Kotkapura, S. Labh Singh from Sangroor, Sh. Karan Sharma from Khanna, S. Gurmukh Singh Sandhu from Manuke, S. Bawa Mahant Singh form Patiala, S. Kuldeep Singh Walia from Patiala, Sh. D. P. Sharma from Ludhiana etc.
