College society holds quiz, presentation competition

Manojigyasa, the psychology society of Government College for Women organized a quiz and multimedia presentation competition in the college auditorium on Thursday. College principal Gurminder Kaur was chief guest at the event. Psychology students who secured highest marks in annual examinations were also honoured on the occasion.



Participants in the multimedia competition made presentations on topics related to psychology such as suicide, memory and dyslexia and were judged by professors Sumeet Brar and Jaspreet Kaur. President of the society Medha Syal made an absorbing multimedia presentation on illusions which was highly appreciated.



The quiz competition included some very interesting and intriguing questions from psychology that took the audience by surprise. The college principal appreciated the efforts of the students for organizing the event successfully under the guidance of head of department Surinder Kaur Gill and professor Rajiv Sehgal. \'\'A positive attitude towards life and incessant hard work are the key to success,\'\' the principal said.



Those present at the event included college staff council members Sudarshan Mehta, Harpreet Gill, Sarabjot Kaur, Krishan Singh, Mohinder Kaur Grewal, Sukhwinder Kaur, Kuldeep Singh, Kiranjit Brar, Sharanjit Kaur, Narinderjit Kaur, Baldev Singh and Pawan Kumar. General secretary of Manojigyasa, Upneet Dhaliwal presented a vote of thanks at the end of the event.
