SAD-BJP govt is trying to blame everything on centre

LUDHIANA, February 21:(Reporter)

Senior Congress leader and the general secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Pawan Dewan today lashed out at the ruling Akali-BJP alliance in the state for blaming the central government for all its own failures.

Addressing a workers meeting here today, Dewan pointed out, it had become a habit with the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal to blame the government of India for all the ills facing the state. "If everything is to be blamed on the centre then what for is the state government?", he asked, while adding, the Akali-BJP leaders must go for an introspection for their failures and not blame others for the same.

The Congress leader said that the state government was only indulging in the false publicity of imaginary projects which will never see the light of the day. "Every day we see the big advertisements costing lakhs of rupees to the government", he pointed out, while adding, this money could have been utilised for the welfare schemes.

Dewan asserted that this government had already outlived its time as it could collapse anytime under its own weight. "While there are so many Akali leaders to go along with Manpreet Badal, the BJP is also waiting for the right opportunity to withdraw the support", the PCC general secretary claimed.

He said, the atmosphere had already built up for a change in the state and the Congress was certain to form the next government.
