PAU ATHLETIC MEET ON FEBRUARY 4, BIKE LIBRARY TO BE LAUNCHED

The Sports and Youth Activities Council of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is organizing its 45th Annual Athletic Meet on February 4 at PAU Athletic Park. PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Manjit Singh Kang will inaugurate the meet. On the closing ceremony, Dr Kang will be chief guest while Ashok Pajni, Examiner, Local Funds Accounts (Pb.) will be the guest of honour.

Dr PPS Lubana, Director Students' Welfare, PAU, informed that the sports events for both men and women, such as 100 M Heat, 200 M Heat, hammer throw, 110 M Hurdle, triple jump, javelin throw, 400 M Hurdle, 1500 M and 5000 M, 1500 M, 800 M, shot put, broad jump, 400 M Heat, high jumps, 100 M, discuss throw, 400 M, 4X 100 relay, 200 M and 4X400 M relay, will be held, followed by the prize distribution function. The Deputy Director Sports, Kanwaljit Kaur and Organising Secretary, Charanjit Singh will make the necessary arrangements for the smooth functioning of the annual meet.

Meanwhile, a bike library is being launched on this occasion and its inauguration will be done by Dr Kang on February 4 at 3.00 p.m. near Mohinder Singh Randhawa Library, disclosed Dr Lubana.
