The local MP and the national spokesperson of the All India Congress Committee Manish Tewari has sanctioned Rs two lakh for the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Jawahar Nagar from his MPs local area development fund.
A cheque of Rs 1 lakh was presented to the school staff members while Rs one lakh more will be provided to the school later on. The money will be used for construction of building in school.
Tewari said, free and quality education was among his top priority and he had been meticulously choosing the institutions to be presented grants from the MPLAD fund. He hoped that the amount although not so big will help in providing better facilities to the students. The staff members expressed their gratitude to the MP for providing grant to the school.
On this occasion, along with Mr Tewari, the present members were PPCC Gen Secy Pawan Dewan, Block President Baljinder Singh Bunty, Inderjit Tonny, Meenu Malhotra, A.P. Singh, Anil Kumar, Manjit Singh & others.
