LMA TO ORGANIZE 2nd DR D.R.SINGH Memorial DEBATE COMPETITION AT PCTE

Ludhiana Management Association is going to organize a British Parliamentary Debate competition at PCTE Group of Institutes, Campus-II, Ludhiana. The competition is scheduled from 24th Feb 2011to 25th Feb 2011. In the competition 35 teams from reputed Institutes/Universities from different parts of the country have confirmed their participation. The teams are from Bangalore, Lucknow, Mathura, Yamunanagar Dehradun, Mohali, Chandigarh and from other parts of the Punjab. The Debate competition is being organized in Memory of Late Dr. D.R.Singh, a known academician and founder president of Ludhiana Management Association. The competition will be organized on British Parliamentary format and Cash Prize of Rs 50,000 will be given to winners. The Cash award of the event has been sponsored by M/s Haveli Ram Bansi Lal Ludhiana.

Dr.K.N.S.Kang, General secretary, Ludhiana Management Association said that It is a tremendous opportunity for young thinkers to showcase their spontaneity, oratory skills, express their opinion on various subjects and to interact with some of the best minds. Further Dr Kang said that there very few institution in the country where British parliamentary format of debating is followed.

Mr. V.K.Goyal, President, Ludhiana Management Association said that Dr. D.R.Singh was known academician and great leader of the region. His work in the field of teaching, Research and Administration has been exemplary and has been appreciated nationally and internationally. He further said that Debate competition is a small tribute to great personality in which young minds will test their skills on different issues of Interest.
