The Home Science Department of Govt. College for Women, Ludhiana organized their annual society, here today. Principal of the college Mrs. Gurminder Kaur was the chief guest of the program. Mrs. Maninder Kaur, Head of the Department welcomed the chief guest. Speaking on this occasion, Principal Mrs. Gurminder Kaur said that Home Science as a discipline plays an important role in shaping the personality of students. She further added that Home Science is a combination of creativity and scientific knowledge that helps in improving the quality of life.

On the occasion many competitions like Rangoli Making, Mehndi Designing, Embroidery, Salad and Snacks making etc. were held.

Rangoli:

First : Sonali and Rinku, Second : Jaspreet and Sarbjeet, Third : Rupinder and Purnima

Mehndi :

First : Swati Jain and Ravinder, Second : Roopsi and Harpreet, Third : Jaspreet

Embroidery :

First : Maninder Kaur and Smriti, Second : Simarjeet, Third : Ramanpreet

Salad Making :

First : Gurleen, Second : Gunisha and Neha, Third : Manisha

Snacks :

First : Neha, Second : Shruti, Third : Divya

On this occasion, Mrs. Sudarshan Mehta, Dr. Surinder Gill, Dr. Harpreet Gill, Dr. Sarbjot Kaur, Prof. Krishan Singh, Mrs. Narinder Kaur Saini, Prof. Balbir Kumar and Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur were also present. Dr. Parminder Gill proposed the vote of thanks.
