GADVASU to Organize Training on Pig Farming

Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education of College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU is going to organize a one week training programme for the pig owners from 21.02.11. Dr.H.K.Verma, Head, Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education informed that during the programme trainees will be trained to improve their skills in pig rearing. He further added that with the changing lifestyles swine products like pork and salamis etc. are getting very popular. These trainings are quiet helpful for the people who are attached to swine rearing. Swine rearing is a venture which is quiet beneficial especially for the people from economically weaker section.

Dr. J.S.Hundal and Dr. Simrinder Singh Sodhi will be the technical coordinators for this training. Dr. Sodhi, informed that anybody who is matriculate can apply for this training. Anybody even outside the Punjab state is also eligible for the above training. Trainees will be charged Rs.250/- as training fees whereas female candidate will not be charged any fee added Dr. Sodhi. He further informed that forms can be obtained from the Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education and even on the spot registration will also be done on Monday.

Dr.R.S. Sahota, course coordinator for the training, informed that all these training are being organized under the able guidance of Dr. Kulbir Singh Sandhu, Director of Extension Education, GADVASU.
