SEVEN DAYS NSS CAMP AT GCW LUDHIANA

NSS unit of GCW Ludhiana is organizing a seven days camp at GCW Campus. Mrs. Gurminder Kaur Principal of the college was the chief guest on this occasion. Mrs. Manju Sahni incharge of the camp welcomed the chief guest and explained the activities in detail during the camp. The camp was started by the principal with cleanliness of the college lawns. While speaking on this occasion, she said that the main motto of NSS is ?NOT ME BUT YOU? but during this camp the focus is on ?HEALTH, HYGIENE AND PUBLIC SANITATION?. NSS volunteers should create awareness among the people for the various social evils particularly the dowry system in India. India has a good culture but certain social evils are major problems for our society. She added that most of young people are not aware of the voting during the elections. The election commission of India is celebrating ?VOTERS DAY? on 25th January 2011. So the young students should participate during this campaign to strengthen the democracy of India. In this camp among others Dr. Sarabjot Kaur, Mrs. Narinder Saini, Prof. Kuldip Singh, Prof. Jaswant Singh, Prof. Baldev Singh, Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur, Mrs. Gurvinder Kaur were also present. Ms. Sharanjit Parmar proposed a Vote of Thanks.
