SlingPlayer Mobile comes to Windows Phone 7

Sling Media\'s SlingPlayer Mobile app is available to Windows Phone 7 owners, the company announced yesterday.

The company latest app retails for $29.99 in the Windows Marketplace. Once downloaded, users can connect the program to their Slingbox Solo or Slingbox Pro-HD and watch television programming from home on their handset. The Windows Phone 7 app joins the company\'s iPhone and Android apps, which provide the same functionality as its latest release. Those two versions also retail for $29.99.

Sling Media is best known for its Slingbox. The device connects to users\' AV source at home, allowing them to watch programming while away on a computer or mobile device. The Slingbox Solo retails for $179.99, while the Slingbox Pro-HD, which allows users to connect up to three home-theater devices, sells for $299.99.

In addition to Sling Media\'s Windows Phone 7 app, the company is getting close to releasing an iPad version of SlingPlayer Mobile. According to ZatzNotFunny, Sling Media sent an e-mail to customers recently saying the app was \"about to launch.\" The company said on its Web site that the app will cost $29.99 and \"take full advantage of the iPad\'s beautiful display.\"
