Students of G.N.International Sen. Sec. Public School, Model Town, today on Thursday,4 November celebrated the festival of lights by organizing an Inter-House Competition on making Handicrafts. The theme was 'Eco-Friendly Diwali.
Class IX was given the topic of making 'Torans'. ClassX students competed in making 'Greeting Cards.' Class XI students showed their art by designing 'Puja Thalis' for the Diwali celebration, while class XII students exhibited their talent on 'Gift Packing.'
The tiny tots of the school from Pre-Primary section (Nursery to II std.) had different array of competitions like- Drawing & colouring a candle, Diya colouring, Rangoli making & Diya decoration.
The creativity of children and their approach towards celebrating Eco-friendly Diwali' was quite visible through these competitions. Students exhibited very innovative ways to decorate diyas, candles, puja thalis, toran by using sparkles, eco-friendly colours, wooden beads, shells, sparkles, mirrors, ribbons etc.
School campus exhibited a festive look and everybody was fully involved in the celebrations.
