New Delhi, Nov 17: After a day of the building collapsed incident in New Delhi on Nov 15, the builder of the four-storey building was detained by police on Nov 16.

A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered against the accused 55-year-old Amritpal Singh, who was reportedly fled with his family after the incident.
Police sources also stated that some of the other cases registered against him earlier were for violation of Essential Commodities Act, Excise Act and receiving stolen articles.
Singh arrested from one his relatives housed in Geeta Colony in east Delhi by the evening on Nov 16.
The four-storey building in east Delhi locality collapsed on Tuesday night (Nov 15) leaving at least 67 people killed and more than 90 people injured.
