B.Ed Teacher trainees of BCM College of Education, Sector 32-A, Ludhiana during their teaching practice at Government High School, Mundian Kalan under the guidance of Mrs. Ritu Dang and Mrs. Ravdeep Kaur organized various competitions on November 15, 2010. Declamation Contest was organized for Class Xth students. The results were as follows- Avinash Kumar Ist, Tania IInd and Sarabjot kaur IIrd. Singing Competition was organized for Class IXth Students. Gagandeep Kaur stood first while Jaswinder Kaur and Shivani got IInd and IIIrd prizes. Sandeep got consolation prize. A quiz was organized for Class VIIth students. There were five rounds of quiz- Punjab, Social Studies, Science, Sports and Entertainment. Team B stood first by scoring 42 points and team D was second as it scored 35 points. For classes VIth and VIIth Classes a drawing competition was organized. Gurpreet, Anita Kumari and Lovepreet Singh were first, second and third respectively and Mandeep and Abhinandan got consolation prizes. School Principal Mrs. Malika Rani gave away the prizes and appreciated the B.Ed Trainees in helping the school staff in organizing such competitions and providing school students exposure and experiences in various fields. She insisted on that education colleges should come forward for such activities so that the gap between theory and practice can be filled for trainees as well as schools can be benefited through new innovations. All the school staff was present on this occasion.
