RESEARCH AND EXTENSION SPECIALISTS WORKSHOP FOR HORTICULTURAL CROPS

The state level research and extension specialists workshop for vegetable, fruit and flower crops will be held at Punjab Agricultural University on November 2-3. Giving details, the Director of Extension Education, Dr. M.S.Gill said that the event will be inaugurated by Dr. Manjit Singh Kang, Vice-Chancellor, PAU. This workshop is an important event wherein the PAU scientists and field level functionaries and extension specialists of PAU and the State Department of Horticulture interact to finalize the new recommendations. The feed back received from the extension practitioners is passed on to researchers for reorienting their programmes. The scientists share their new findings through deliberations and exhibitions, said Dr. Gill adding that the field visit and demonstrations are also organized to showcase new technologies. The Director of Research presents and overview of the research findings and the Director of Extension Education discusses the transfer of technology programmes.
