Ludhiana has released a book on \"Emerging Dimensions of Financial

Reporting and Accounting Practices\" Edited by Dr. Ashwani Bhalla,

Associate Professor in the Department . The book is released recently

by Sh. Manish Tiwari, Member of Parliament during the concluding day

of Panjab University Youth and Heritage Festival. The book contains

the critically analysed papers presented in the UGC sponsored National

Conference for which the College got the grant in aid of Rs. 150000/-

from the University Grants Commission. In the released volumme

various researchers has expressed their free opinion about changing

dimensions of financial reporting and accountng practices both

nationally, regionally and locally. The key issues regarding

implementaiton of International Financial reporting standards has been

discussed in details. While expressing the satisfaction on the release

of the book Principal of the College Mrs Jasbir Kaur Makkar said that

the book will prove a source document for opinion formation to shape

the future of accounting practices in the region. Prof. R.K. Miglani ,

Head department of commerce, S.C.D Government College Ludhiana said

that the book fulfil the objectives of sensitising the college and

university teachers towards the crucial issues in Financial reporting

. He expressed the hope that book would prove a challenging

contribution to the national quest for better accounting education in

our universities and colleges. Sh Manish Tiwari while releasing the

book appreciated the efforts of the college and pray that college will

achieve greater hights in the future to achieve excellence in

education .
