PCTE Group of Institutes is organizing IT-JOB FEST for MCA and M.Sc IT students on 23rd October 2010. In total 20 companies will be participating in the First Job Fest of PCTE of this placement year. Appin Technology, Intellisense Technology, SLR Technologies, GTech, HCL INFOTECH Mohali, NIIT, Netpyx, CMS Chandigarh, JSR Infotech, Bhasin Infotech, Blackline, Webtex, Electrosoft and OIT are few of the companies which will be recruiting MCA and M.Sc IT students for training cum placements.
"Salient feature of last year's placement was that majority of the students had more than one offer letter. The job fair which was organized in the month of April 2010 which was a huge success and due to this job fair the students had more than one offer in their hand," said Dr KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes.
"Last year a total of 78 companies offered jobs to MBA and MCA students. Helix Technologies, Fedex, Standard Chartered, Lilliput, Deutchse Bank, Apollo Munich, Infosys, SBI Life , DLF Pramerica, Eastman Hand Tools, Eastman Global, Eastman International, HSBC, Axis bank , IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, HCL, Gtech, Oshego technologies, Lupin were the companies which recruited students from PCTE. Last year Helix technologies recruited students at the maximum package of 7.69 lac per annum," Informed, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes.
The procedure of the placement process will include Aptitude Tests, Technical Round and HR Round.
