Khichdi- The Movie, which has released this Friday, has already impressed a big politician of India. Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi recently, watched the movie in a special screening before its release. Modi was overwhelmed by the film. He has demanded a sequel of the family comedy.

Modi was quoted saying that it was the first time in the history of Hindi cinema that a television serial has been made into a full-fledged movie. He added that after a watching the movie, he can say that the movie is light like a 'Khichdi'. The Gujarat chief minister said that the movie is full of joy, wit and humor.
Khichdi team is very confident about its success and said that their only aim is to make everyone laugh. Producer JD. Majethia added that it is a comedy about a Gujarati family but with a universal appeal.
