PURNIA (Bihar): Eight persons were killed on the spot and 30 others injured when an overcrowded bus overturned at Janakinagar in Purnia disrict late Sunday night, Senior Superintendent of Police N H Khan said.
The bus carrying 90 passengers, much beyond capacity, was on its way to Patna from Saharsa when the accident occurred, Khan said.
Of the injured, ten were admitted to a government hospital here where their condition was stated to be serious.
The others received first-aid at hospitals and private clinics near the accident spot, Khan said.
