Recently released, 'Do Dooni Chaar' is a charismatic Bollywood movie that has been made magical by the perfectly matching chemistry of veteran actors, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh Kapoor.
The movie by debutant director Habib Faisal has all the chords in the right places and the audience will just fall in love with the Duggal family.
It is cute comical film that revolves around a middle class family, including a husband and wife, and a teenager son and daughter.
A high school teacher, Santosh Duggal, played by Rishi Kapoor, a common man, who has more expenditures than income and whose monthly income is only enough to suffice the daily needs of the family.
Adding to the expenses of Santosh, is a wife (Neetu Singh) and two kids, played by Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev. He is constantly the victim of their demands of leading a luxurious life.
What's next
Life takes a new turn, when he is forced to dream of buying a car, as his younger sister demands that he should come in a car, for the wedding of her child.
But, the family realizes that buying a car is impossible in Mr Duggal's current salary and so, they request a neighbor to lend them his car.
Now, the car meets with an accident and the neighbor fumes on them. This makes Duggal to decide on buying a car, even when he knows he cannot afford it.
Though the first half of the movie is engrossing, one might feel that extra effort is being put to add more depth in some of the scenes, but the Duggal family, and their struggle of buying the car, will make the audiences stay hooked on to their seats.
The second half is a little boring and the strings of attachment are somehow cut somewhere.
What makes the movie enjoyable is the chaos, the re-bonding and the new situations faced by the family.
Overall, it is a light comedy in which Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh have added life and so, it is a must-watch for all entertainment-seekers.
