Koshish 2010 begins at PCTE

PCTE Group of Institutes begins with its tenth annual intra-institutional literary cum cultural festival Koshish 2010. The festival includes 11 literary events, 10 cultural events and 4 fine art events. The literary and fine arts events have started from 11th September and the main stage events will begin from September 22nd 2010 and end on September 24th September. The festival would be inaugurated by sister Chantal Principal, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana.



Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said "51 classes from all the campuses of PCTE would compete in 25 various literary, fine arts and cultural events in Koshish 2010. This is something great for us that within one institution 35-40 teams get prepared for various group events like Bhangra, western dance, fashion show & Giddha. This is a great learning not only for faculty but also for the students as well. This is an annual competition which fosters energy, team building and competitive spirit among the participants."



"10 best teachers from Ludhiana district will be honored in Koshish 2010- BEST TEACHER CEREMONY on 22nd September. PCTE is holding this ceremony for the past six years and has honored 49 teachers of various institutions. This ceremony is conducted not only to widen the facet of good teaching but also to encourage the morale of the teachers who put in so much of hard work and efforts," informed Dr. K.N.S.Kang.



Literary events include Business Plan, British Parliamentary Debate, Case Presentation, JAM, Quiz, Software Development, Portfolio Management etc. The Fine Art events include Rangoli, Canvas Painting, Cartooning and Face Painting. The Cultural Events include Solo Dance, Western Solo Song, Folk Dance Boys, Folk Dance Girls, Choreography, Skit, Fashion Show etc. 24 teams are participating in junior wing and 27 teams are participating in senior wing. Pre-Quarters and Quarter finals of British Parliamentary Debate are already done. Semi-Finals and Finals of debates are scheduled on 22nd and 23rd September. In Case Presentation -BCA Final bagged the first prize in senior wing and BBA Second year won the junior wing. In the Quiz event of junior wing held on 20th September, BBA First year were the winners. Business plan event is scheduled for today, 21st September.
