Davis Cup: Brazil leads 2-0 over India

News Desk: Breaking News! India suffered two heart-breaking losses in the singles to hand over a 2-0 lead to Brazil in the Davis Cup World Group play-off. Both Rohan Bopanna and Somdev Devvarman went down fighting to their opponents.







In the first singles, World No. 27 Thomaz Bellucci defeated Rohan Bopanna 6-7 (2), 7-6 (7), 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 in a marathon encounter that lasted for four hours and 28 minutes.







In the second singles, Ricardo Mello prevailed over Somdev Devvarman 4-6, 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4. The match lasted for four hours and 12 minutes. Brzail now lead 2-0 and need just need one victory to win the tie and qualify for the elite World Group.







In the Doubles match today, Mahesh Bhupathi & Leander Paes will take on Marcelo Melo & Bruno Soares.
