A field day on paddy transplanter was organized in collaboration with Kubota Company at village Uggi, District Jalandhar. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. M.S.Gill, Director of Extension Education emphasized on rational use of water, shifting from paddy to other crops and starting subsidiary occupation to supplement their income. Dr. Kulbir Singh Deol, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jalandhar emphasized on reducing area under paddy. Dr. Narinder Singh, Dr. Sarjit Singh, Dr. Preetinder Singh and Dr. Gursahib Singh, Scientists from PAU also addressed the gathering. Dr. Ram Singh conducted the stage while Dr. Jugraj Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and other participants. Farm Advisory Service Scheme, Jalandhar Scientists Dr. Bindu, Bharti Mohinder, Parminder Singh and Dr. Amandeep Kaur were also present on the occasion. S. Avtar Singh, CCDO and S. Tarlok Singh, Deputy CCDO also participated in the programme. At the end progressive farmer Gurbinder Singh Bajwa presented vote of thanks.
