JSW Steel reportedly plans to invest Rs750bn to enhance its annual capacity from the present 7.8MT to 32MT by 2020.
According to reports, JSW is among a host of steel companies which are ramping up production capacities to have a larger play in the country\'s growing infrastructure sector. Jindal was quoted as saying that we are growing very rapidly and will continue to grow and this is to expand our brownfield and greenfield capacity to 32MT per annum (mtpa) by 2020.
Separetly, Tata Steel earlier had said that it would invest Rs150bn to raise capacity at its Jamshedpur facility from the current 6.8MT to 10MT by next year
