EXPERT TIP FOR COTTON BY PAU

LUDHIANA, MAY 28:-----



In view of the prevailing high temperature conditions, reports of drying of young cotton plants have been received from different places in the state. This was stated by Dr. M.S.Gill, Incharge Cotton Section, Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics. He said that in sandy soils, strong winds can also cause injury to young cotton plants. To protect the crop, the farmers have been advised to apply irrigation to cotton fields.
