DR. KANG RELEASES HINDI POETRY BOOK BY MRS. SRIVASTAVA

Punjab Agricultural University has inspired many poets to compose poetry on nature, agriculture and social issues. This was stated by the PAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Manjit Singh Kang, while releasing an anthology of Hindi poems entitled \"Anubhuti Manjusha\" authored by Mrs. Pushpa Srivastava \'Rashmi\'. Dr. Kang said that some of the poems have been written with utter sensitivity towards the contemporary happenings in Punjab. One of the poems \"Punjab Ek Jwalant Prashan\" (Punjab a Burning Question) describes the age-old traditions of Punjabi way of life encompassing fraternity and peaceful co-existence. Dr. Kang himself translated and transliterated the poem in Punjabi. A poster of the translated and transliterated version of the poem was presented to the poetess. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Srivastava said that she composed poems based on the happenings taking place in the society and her experience. She shared her reminiscences of the cultural and literary environment at PAU and remembered Prof. Mohan Singh, Krishan Adib, Ajaib Chitarkar and Dr. Satinder Bajaj. She said that she is carrying the sweet memories of her times spent at PAU. Her husband, Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director General of AMITY University a former Professor of Botany at PAU was also present. Dr. Kang honored Mrs. Srivastava with a memento of Punjab Agricultural University. She recited some of her poems. The Additional Director Communication, Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman shared the content and style of poetry composed by Mrs. Srivastava. He said that the poetry will be translated in Punjabi for the benefit of Punjabi readers. Mr. Gurbhajan Gill, Editor (Punjabi) and a Punjabi poet was also present who shared his poems about the human values. Dr. Srivastava thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Kang and others present on the occasion.
