Kapil Dev, Milkha Singh, Pargat Singh & Nek Chand to be honoured

CHANDIGARH : Legendary Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan will launch a new local search engine www.lookmycity.com on February 20, 2010 at a function in Sector 34 Exhibition Ground, followed by his spectacular performance as "Mahak Punjab Di".

Famous personalities of Chandigarh Tricity will also be honoured on this occasion, including Rock Garden fame Nek Chand, Flying Sikh Milkha Singh, All Rounder Kapil Dev, Cricket Coach Mr DP Azad, Indo-Pak War hero Brig. Chandpuri, Theatre Artist Rani Balbir Kaur, Ivy Hospital CEO Gurtej Singh, Music Director Varinder Bachan, Educationist Prof Chitkara and Hockey Player Pargat Singh.

Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club here on Thursday, Dev Chawla, Group President, LookMyCity said, "The new web portal, LookMyCity is being launched in Chandigarh and will spread its wing all over India this year. It will have useful information about various cities of India, i.e. history of the city, local news, local people search, picture gallery of the city, local events, information related to various institutions like hospitals and banks. The portal will also has a feature to evaluate local companies Malls, Hotels, eating joints and job consultants, etc."

Nav Saurav Singh CEO & MD, LookMyCity, said that the major attraction is that all the information about any city will be available from one single number all over India 35 35 34 34. The unique feature of the portal will be its cheaper and flexible rates, variety of products and services, communication with customers via e mail, sms and phone, and reduced transaction through online orders. Through this portal the business can be open 24 hours round the year.

The parent organization, My Point, was started with a vision to create a retail service network to provide multiple services from one single point . The vision was to provide all the retail services from one single franchisee like : Prepaid Recharge, Online Travel and Ticketing, Railways Ticketing, Hotel and Cabs Bookings and Holiday Packages.

The journey started with the Pre Paid Recharge in February 2009 and so far we have been able to create a distributor network of 510 Distributors and a retail base of around 12000 retailers in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, UP East, UP West, Uttrakhand, Gujarat and Bihar.
