New Delhi : Sania Mirza\'s family has reportedly called off her engagement to Mohammad Sohrab Mirza.
\"We were friends for half a decade, but found ourselves incompatible during our engagement period. I wish Sohrab the best in life,\" Sania has been quoted as saying in The Economic Times.
Sania was formally engaged to Mohammad in Hyderabad in July 2009.
Sohrab and Sania have been friends for a long time and he is presently studying business management in the United Kingdom.
Sania who is in Melbourne for the Australian Open will go to Kuala Lumpur on Friday to lead India\'s challenge in the Fed Cup Asia Oceania Group 2 competition.
She has already crashed out of the Australian Open.
