Quick Heal Enhances Product Portfolio

Client-security vendor Quick Heal Technologies has refreshed its entire product range including AntiVirus 2010, Internet Security 2010 and Total Security 2010 to incorporate several new features.

"Quick Heal 2010 series is much lighter, faster and smarter than its previous versions. Lighter in terms of lesser memory usage during operation, and an enhanced engine that performs faster scanning and quicker updates. Advanced technologies implemented in the enhanced scan engine help in deeper scanning of threats, which was not possible in earlier versions, making it smarter and ready to fight latest threats," said Kailash Katkar, CEO, Quick Heal Technologies.

Quick Heal 2010 series is compatible with Windows 7 and has several new features like advanced memory scanning, USB drive protection, browsing protection and entertainment mode. The advance memory scanning feature scans the system memory at the Kernel level detecting even Rootkit drivers. The USB drive protection feature is aimed at stopping malwares from getting executed when an infected pen drive is plugged into the PC.

"One of the key features we have included in our latest suite is entertainment mode for gaming enthusiasts. In this mode, Quick Heal goes into silent mode and displays no prompts and reduces system load. It makes activities like playing games, watching movies or presentation an uninterrupted event," said Katkar.

Quick Heal has also added PC Tuner functionalities in the Total Security suite, which performs registry cleaning, disk cleaning, registry optimization and performance tuning. Besides, Total Security features additional support for new mobile phone models in the PC2Moblie scan, including support for scanning of Apple iPhone.

Quick Heal 2010 range also claims to have a better browsing protection feature to prevent browser from visiting infected websites, and enhanced Firewall function.
