Gurdwara Yuba City gets ‘God is One’ stained glass panel

This week, an art glass panel was placed at the Sikh Gurdwara in Yuba City, above the inside entry doors which has two Khandas on each end, shields, symbols, lots of gold color and jewels.

This is an ornate piece, of stained glass, commissioned by the Gridley sister, with the words God is One, included, and the panel is in three sections, one large, two smaller on each end and as with all local installations of their work, the business uses Herman\'s Glass to install their artwork.

We wouldn\'t have anyone else do our work for us, Suzy stated.

Several meetings were held with officials of the Sikh Gurdwara with amount of time for completion discussed, because of their grand celebration this weekend. The 30th Annual Nagar Kirtan Sikh Parade started on Friday October 30 and ends on Sunday.

The art glass panel prepared for the Sikh Gurdwara took one month, working seven days a week on it and was installed in the Gurdwara Wednesday, in plenty of time before this weekend\'s celebration.

Over the 27 years that Stained Glass Junction has been in existence in Gridley, sisters Suzy Pomeroy and Frankye Cartner

Over 20 years ago, the business was commissioned to do custom work at Dolly Parton\'s Dollywood at Branson, Missouri.
