CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal General Secretary Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra expressed profound grief and sorrow on the very sad demise of Punjab Cooperation Minister Captain Kanwaljit Singh.
Describing him a brave soldier, a great statesman and a seasoned politician, Chadumajra said that by his death Punjab has lost its great son who has suffered a great for the country and the State of Punjab. Chandumajra said that being his close associate he was shocked by the departure of this great soul. The irreparable loss caused by his death to Punjab as well as country can not be restored for a long time. Chandumajra condoned the grief with the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minsiter Parkash Singh Badal and deputy Chief Minister Sukjbir Singh Badal who are on election campaining in Punjab were expectred to reach Chandigarh on Monday morning as they couldn\'t get clearance for helicopter to land at Chandigarh. Surinder Kaur Badal and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa reached PGI soon after hearing the news of accident in the evening.
