NRI woman stabbed to death in a Toronto grocery store :- ISP Network

On January 01, 2009, at 10:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a possible stabbing at Airport Foods, located on Airport Road, in Mississauga. Upon arrival, police located Amandeep Kaur Dhillon, a 22 year-old woman from Mississauga. Ms. Dhillon was found deceased, with obvious signs of trauma. She was fatally stabbed.

In the basement of the store, officers discovered another victim, a 47-year-old man, suffering from non-life threatening injures. The male was taken to an area hospital, where he has been treated. Investigators have been able to speak with this male and are now pursuing information that he has provided. According to the media, the man was her father-in-law. Charnpaul Singh, a regular customer, said he saw the older man covered in blood.

A post mortem has been scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2009.

Police have also collected security video as part of their investigation, but have not yet named any suspects. Amandeep lived in the Malton area with her husband and they had one child who is staying with family members in India

The food store located in a strip mall on Airport Road, just north of Derry Rd. and opened 7-8 months ago.
