Cong: Rahul doesn\'t want to be PM
NEW DELHI: Congress on Tuesday sought to bury the possibility of another controversy about party general secretary Rahul Gandhi being a candidate for the Prime Minister\'s post. Party leader Veerappa Moily clarified that contrary to media reports about Rahul having an open mind on the issue of becoming Prime Minister, the young leader actually had given no such impression while talking to students of Punjabi University in Patiala. Media reports had quoted Rahul as saying that he was open to the idea of ascending to the top job. While addressing the 1,500-strong students at Punjabi University, Rahul Gandhi categorically stated that he is not focusing on any post or position, that he is focusing at present only on building the Youth Congress and (the party\'s) student organizations, Moily said. Moily pointed out that no television crew or media persons were present in that gathering. The party leadership had strongly rebuffed a move made by HRD minister Arjun Singh some time back about projecting Rahul as the PM candidate.
